Riviera Housing Trust Limited is a not-for-profit social landlord registered with
the Tenant Services Authority (formerly The Housing Corporation). Set up in February
2001 to take the transfer of 2,886 properties from Torbay Council. The properties
are spread throughout the Torbay area of Devon in the towns of Torquay, Paignton
and Brixham. 75 employees and an annual turnover of £10m.
ACHIEVEMENTS / IMPROVEMENTS
Tasked with developing and improving the financial integrity and organizational health
of the Finance organisation
Responsible for the efficient management of treasury, bank, cash management and compliance
Ensured structured systems, procedures and processes were in place and adhered to
Conducted extensive due diligence work, including system and procedure changes,
data transfer and migration, and all Treasury and Payroll matters whilst merging
with Sanctuary Housing Group
Introduced Integrity to the Sun accounting system and developed Vision Executive
reporting systems
Developed, managed and provided Insurance monitoring and education
Encouraged cross-functional relationships and led QA improvement workshop
Put in place Timely / Quality / Accurate Reporting and Financial Management.
Led Year End activities and achieved successful, “clean”, timely audit and production
of Statutory Accounts.
Reintroduced and enforced up-to-date monthly Reconciliations.
Encouraged, introduced and led Team Management / Development.
Introduced, Developed and Encouraged Monthly Management Account Reviews with Budget
Holders.
